CAT Library Tutorials
(Capstone Project)
The library databases at Colegio Americano de Torreon (CAT) were not being used often enough because students (and teachers) found it easier to just use Google. However, I designed, developed, and implemented a self-paced tutorial page that any learner can go to when he or she needs to learn how the library databases work or if he or she needs a bit of a refresher course for an upcoming project. There are instructional videos, PDF user guides, training worksheets that can be assigned to the training, and pre- and post-tests that help the learners and facilitator know what learners still need to work on. Many thanks go out to Andrea Bravin, CAT's library coordinator. Without his assistance, I would have been lost. He was a wonderful SME and I look forward to continuing our work with these tutorials.
